Last Week (Week 6) in class I formed a group with Shaye and Bahram for the Case Study assignment. We decided that our topic would be the ROI on delivery and development of e-learning programmes within organisations. After doing some research on google and the IBM case study website I am deciding between Cisco and PDSVM, a multi-billion dollar company. We also set up the group wiki which was partly manageable and also I found part of it challenging. Not having strong computer skills I am struggling a bit with some of the technical aspects of this course and hence loosing interest quite quickly due to not being able to get my head around some of the concepts.

I found setting up my own page for the group wiki problem free. Inserting a link to my own page was a-ok but I had a few difficulties when it came to setting up our group page as when we saved the page it did not appear on the side bar. We later learnt that we needed to link our group page to a pre-exisiting page and then insert the link so to create our group page and have links to our individual pages.

I’m slowly getting used to this subject, blogging and wikis. Hopefully next week I will have more knowledge and will be able to navigate around my blog with little effort. I’ll keep you posted of my development.

The ROI on development and delivery of e-learning programmes in three companies. Being able to measure whether or not an implemented e-learning programme has prooved to have benefited the company both in monetry terms and efficiency.

Being an Organisational Learning Student this topic is of interest to myself and my group because in the future I will more than likely be in a position where I will have to decide what is the best mode of learning will be both for an individual and the company. It is necessary to know whether or not e-learning has been successful in the past so we will know how to improve it and which training system is best.

Well I never thought that I would ever be a ‘blogger’ but here I finally am.  It’s been a rocky start what with no access to internet, forgetting my password and having to deal with the fact that I’m 100% technically challenged. It’s most definately been information overload and I’m slowly getting my head around RSS, social bookmarking and being so ‘virtually’ involved. I’m learning so many useful things and am most definately improving my computer skills. The other day whilst at my personal trainer, I was able to inform and help the other ladies with their computer issues… thank you e-learning experience.

Eventhough i was quite apprehensive to blog and use netvibes i’m really enjoying it and have come to realise netvibes is like the best invention ever. It saves so much time and now I don’t have to be a $5 billion waste of time, what with all the time I spend checking facebook, my email & everything else.

Can’t wait to get more computer savvy & make my blog look better & better
